About Shannon
Hi. I'm Shannon and I have two passions that I enjoy sharing with others through my art - whimsical drawings and beautiful sea glass. I started drawing when I was a young Island girl and, over time, I started to incorporate the uniqueness of the pieces of sea glass I found along PEI's many beaches and shores into my art.
These two passions combined into what I now call: Joy Designs. Each piece is completely unique and original. I hope you enjoy the fantasy, fun and fiction of my pieces as much as I do.
Travelling sea glass workshops
Shannon brings a sea glass workshop to your group, anywhere within 40 minutes of Charlottetown.
She brings everything required including the sea glass, so all you need are tables and chairs. The workshops also include what Shannon calls "sea glass show n tell". This is part education and part folklore as you get hands on with Shannon's personal collection of sea glass.
Every workshop includes
- Hands-on sea glass show n tell with Shannon’s personal collection
- A handmade sea glass craft for each person to take home

- Sessions are 90 to 120 minutes
- Groups of 5 to 15 people work best
- Ages 5 and up
- $25 per person

My work
Sea glass night lights
Stained seaglass nightlights are automatic and sensory operated. Simply plug in the nightlight and, when dark enough, the light will shine bright through the glass. Use the toggle at the top to change the background lighting from cool blue to warm white.
